Who this page is for

This page applies to the Get Shifts Staff app (Android and iOS) and the Get Shifts staff web account, provided by NXT Digital Ltd. It explains how staff can delete their account and personal data.

Option 1 — in the app

Open the Get Shifts Staff app and sign in.
Go to Profile, then Delete account.
Read the summary and tap Delete to confirm. You are signed out, your account is closed and your agency is told that you have left.

Option 2 — without the app

If you no longer have the app, email support@getshifts.co.uk from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my Get Shifts account”. Include your full name and the agency you work with. We may ask you to confirm the request before acting on it, so that nobody can delete an account that is not theirs. We confirm by email once it is done.

What is deleted

Your account is closed straight away and you can no longer sign in. The personal data held for your account — contact details, address, profile photo, uploaded documents, availability, device and notification data, and location records from clocking in and out — is then deleted within 12 months of closure, or within 30 days if you ask us by email to erase it (Option 2 above; you can do this after deleting in the app, too).

What is kept, and for how long

Some records belong to the agency you worked for, which is legally required to keep them — for example timesheets, pay and invoice records, and right-to-work checks. These are retained only for as long as the law requires and are then deleted; they are not used for anything else. Deletion covers primary storage and rolls through our backup cycles.
